Inkjet prints made at O'Brien Photo Imaging are made with the latest Archival Epson Ultrachrome K-3 pigments and can have a life expectancy greater than 200 years. These prints are often called Pigment Prints or Pigment on Paper

PAPER CHOICES
Crane Museo Silver Rag

Archival inkjet prints made from negatives, slides or files and output to Crane Museo Silver Rag paper. Clockwise from top left: "Blackwater Reflections - Ona Beach, Or.", "Yosemite Reflections", "Moolach Beach, Or." and "Redwoods - Jedediah Smith Area",
Photos by Walt O'Brien.

Silver Rag has the look and feel of fiber based double weight photogrpahic paper. It becomes difficult to tell which print is from a darkroom and which is inkjet.

Silver Rag paper has a life expectancy equal to or better than a Black and White photograhpic print from the darkroom. When printed in color it has a life expectancy many times that of a traditional photographic color print.

Arches Textured and Hahnemule German Etching

Watercolor by Sally Lemon
of Battleground, Wa.

Printed on Arches Textured

Guache painting by Sandi O'Brien
Eugene, Oregon

Printed on Hahnemuhle German Etching

Arches Textured is ideal for printing original watercolors or any art that is created on a similar surface. The life expectancy of a print on this material is similar to the original.

Hahnemule German Etching is another fine art paper with a finer tooth. It has excellent color saturation for duplicating rich originals.

Geo Canvas

Original Oil by Anne McGlade of Eugene, Or.

Printed on Geo Canvas

GEO Canvas is an actual canvas designed for inkjet printing. It can be stretched on a frame like any canvas. It works well with any image but is especially good for oil originals. It has a glossy surface.

Other papers include Epson Glossy, Epson Premium Lustre and Epson Enhanced Matte. These papers are less expensive but have a full range of colors available in more expensive papers.Life expectancy is shorter than any of the premium papers, but is still better than traditional color photographs.

We have a new premium paper by Hahnemuhle called Fine Art Pearl. It is an archival paper that emulates photo glossy silver gelatin paper and has a brighter white than the Crane Silver Rag.
